News
Sedin lit the lamp Sunday against San Jose.

The 37-year-old is seeing some regression with his age this season, yet he's still receiving his opportunities this year, averaging 19:01 of ice time and firing 138 shots on goal. Sedin now has one goal and three assists over the past four games, adding 15 shots on goal in that span. He hot right now, but his value is still best fit for deeper leagues in the long term.

News
Miller gave up four goals on 26 shots in Saturday's loss to the Sharks.

Miller was outdueled by Jones, who was the much busier netminder. The veteran has given up seven goals in back-to-back losses and seems to be struggling. It's hard to say what a trade at the deadline would do to his fantasy value, but while he remains in Vancouver, Miller remains an decent fantasy option. He's capable of having a big night and stealing a game, but ultimately the veteran won't pick up many wins due to the team around him.

News
Burrows was traded to Ottawa in exchange for prospect Jonathan Dahlen on Monday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

The Senators have decided to deal a potential future piece for a veteran presence in an attempt to win now. Burrows decided to waive his no-trade cluase for the deal and is expected to ink a two-year contract extension with his new club. The 35-year-old winger has tallied just 20 points through 55 games this season, but the move to a more potent offensive club should provide a brighter outlook on his fantasy prospects the rest of the way. It seems highly unlikely he will make it to Tampa in time for Monday's game, making Thursday against the Avalanche the most likely date of his debut with his new organization.

News
Hansen told reporters that he has formulated a list of eight teams that he'd be willing to play for if traded, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.

Naturally, seven of those teams are in playoff contention, whereas there's an (undisclosed) city in particular that interests him. Hansen has one year remaining on his $10 million contract before he'd become an unrestricted free agent, with a modified no-trade clause embedded into that deal he signed with Vancouver ahead of the 2014-15 campaign. With the Canucks likely to miss the playoffs, Hansen could be on his way out by next Wednesday's trade deadline. A knee injury has limited him to 27 games this season, though he's managed 13 points despite averaging a mere 16:20 of rink-run per contest.

News
Sbisa (illness) told reporters he would suit up against Detroit on Tuesday, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.

With several teammates also out of the lineup, Sbisa attempted to give it a go Saturday but was forced out of action after logging just 13:04 of ice time versus San Jose. Even when healthy, the blueliner's contributions aren't showing up on the scoresheet has he has failed to tally a point in 12 straight outings and has a mere two goals and 10 assists on the year.

News
Chaput will miss Saturday's game against the Sharks after showing symptoms of mumps, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 reports.

Chaput is one of four Canucks projected to miss Saturday's contest after the players contracted the virus during their bye week. It's unclear how long the illness will keep him sidelined, but Chaput doesn't contribute a whole lot offensively anyway -- he has just two points since Jan. 7.

News
Markstrom is considered day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury.

Markstrom may have avoid the mumps, but still picked up an injury during the team's skills competition. Ryan Miller remains the primary starter in Vancouver, so it is unclear if Markstrom will actually miss any scheduled starts. The Canucks called up Richard Bachman from the minors to likely serve as the backup Tuesday against the Red Wings if Markstrom can't give it a go.

News
Tanev (illness) has been placed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.

Tanev was unable to practice Friday after showing mumps symptoms. The disease has spread through the Canucks, which is liable to really leave them shorthanded. There isn't a clear recovery time for an illness such as this, so you'll have to keep an eye on the Canucks' situation to see when all these mumps-affected players can return.

News
Granlund has been diagnosed with mumps and won't play Saturday against the Sharks, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 reports.

Five different Canucks players have been diagnosed with mumps, and at this point it isn't clear how long Granlund or any of the other ailing skaters will be sidelined due to the illness. However, Granlund's owners shouldn't have too much trouble finding a suitable replacement for the 23-year-old pivot's production, as he's only tallied 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists) in 60 games this season.

Hutton is currently experiencing symptoms of mumps.

Hutton is just the most recent addition to the Canucks lengthy walking wounded list, as they have several players caught up in this mumps outbreak and also have a few players with other injuries. No word yet on if the virus will keep him out of Tuesday's matchup with Detroit, but the team will certainly be hoping he can go, as the ranks of its injured consists of five defensemen already.

Tryamkin has been diagnosed with mumps and won't play Saturday against the Sharks, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 reports.

Tryamkin is just one of five Canucks who has displayed symptoms of the mumps virus, and at this point it isn't clear how long he'll be sidelined due to the illness. The towering Russian defender's absence will test Vancouver's depth at defense, but won't mean much to fantasy owners, as his meager offensive contributions -- seven points in 50 games this campaign -- keeps him from being a desirable option in most formats.

Stecher (illness) has been placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss Saturday's game against the Sharks, the NHL's official media site reports.

Stecher is one of several Canucks who has come down with the mumps, leaving Vancouver shorthanded and scrambling. There is no clear timetable for Stecher's return, so be sure to monitor his situation to find out when he's able to recover from the mumps.
