The Pittsburgh Penguins participate in the National Hockey
League (NHL) and are based in Pittsburgh, Pa. Pittsburgh is a
member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The
Penguins, founded in 1967, play home games at Mellon Arena and
have won three Stanley Cups (1991, 1992, 2009).
