PLAYER NOTES

--G Craig Anderson was a hard-luck loser Thursday when he stopped 25 shots in the Avalanche's 1-0 loss to Minnesota. Anderson has allowed a total of eight goals in his past seven starts. He has six wins in this span with two shutouts.

--LW Wojtek Wolski continues to struggle despite playing on the Avalanche's top line. He has one goal in his past 15 games, and that was scored into an empty net on Jan. 16 in a 3-1 win against New Jersey. Wolski has been held without a point in eight of the 15 games.

--D John-Michael Liles had his season-best point-scoring streak snapped at five games Thursday against Minnesota. Liles had one goal and six assists during the streak. Liles has played his best hockey in the second half of the season in recent years and leads all Avalanche defensemen in scoring with 23 points (four goals, 19 assists) in 37 games.

MEDICAL WATCH

--D Adam Foote (ankle) is on injured reserve retroactive to Jan. 8 but might be available for Friday's game in Dallas.

--RW Milan Hejduk (knee) could be sidelined until mid-February to recover from arthroscopic surgery.

--C Matt Hendricks (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Jan. 21.

--RW David Jones (knee) will probably miss the remainder of the regular season to recover from surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament, though he could return for the playoffs.

--D Ruslan Salei (back) is out indefinitely after undergoing back surgery. He was placed on injured reserve Oct. 12, retroactive to Oct. 8. He's missed all but one game this season.

--RW Marek Svatos (bruised chest) is out indefinitely.
