--After sitting as a healthy scratch in six of the first 10 games, forward Patrick Eaves has seized the opportunity to play regularly following Valtteri Filppula's injury. Eaves assisted on Henrik Zetterberg's goal, registered three shots and recorded a team-high five hits in Thursday's 2-1 shootout victory over San Jose. Eaves, Kris Draper and Darren Helm have been a hard line to play against because of their speed.

--G Chris Osgood has stopped 82-of-84 shots since getting pulled seven minutes into the Oct. 27 game in Vancouver. The Wings have won three games in a row with Osgood in net and have allowed only two goals in their last 10 periods, plus two five-minute overtimes.
