--Forward Sam Gagner was named to the NHL's YoungStars game. He's 10th in rookie scoring with 16 points and has made highlight packages all around the league with his shootout goals. "It's pretty exciting and a great opportunity," he said. "I'm looking forward to it. There's a lot of great players who have been though it before. It's pretty exciting for me. I'm going to try and run with the opportunity."

--Goalie Mathieu Garon was second star in the NHL's weekly "three Stars" program for the week ending January 13th. Garon posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.01 goals-against average and a .968 save percentage in helping the Oilers to three consecutive victories.
