PLAYER NOTES

--LW Cory Stillman played in his 1,000th NHL game, the 262nd player to do so in league history. Wednesday's game was his 161st with the Panthers. He has 39 goals and 69 assists during that time.

--RW David Booth was knocked out in Philadelphia last season, costing him most of the year with a concussion. He had a strong game against the Flyers on Wednesday, taking a team-high four shots. His third-period goal pulled the Panthers within a goal midway through the third period. Booth had gone five straight games without a goal.

--RW Rostislav Olesz scored his second goal in the last four games.

--D Jason Garrison had an assist on Rostislav Olesz's goal, giving him a career-high three-game scoring streak. Garrison has a goal and two assists in those games.

MEDICAL WATCH

--C Shawn Matthias (broken ankle) is out for at least six weeks.

--RW Byron Bitz (sports hernia) had surgery, and his return date is unknown.

--D Bryan McCabe (broken jaw, finger) has had the wires taken out of his jaw and should return Friday against Detroit.

--RW Evgeny Dadonov (broken finger) is out a month.

--D Dmitry Kulikov (ankle) is out the next two weeks.
