--G Kevin Weekes made his first appearance since Nov. 12 and suffered the loss to the Capitals. He is now 2-1-1. The stiffness of a new glove led to him dropping the puck for the winning goal.

--G Martin Brodeur had played the last 12 games.

--D Vitaly Vishnevski returned to the lineup after being a healthy scratch Sunday night.

--RW Mike Rupp dressed for the first time in 11 games Sunday but was back in street clothes Monday night.

--LW Jay Pandolfo missed his sixth straight game with a pelvic injury.

--RW Jamie Langenbrunner, the new captain, hasn't scored a goal since tallying twice in his first game back from hernia surgery, going 12 games without a goal but picking up 10 assists over that span.

--RW Brian Gionta hasn't scored in five games.

--C Travis Zajac has one goal in the last 24 games.

--LW Dainius Zubrus hasn't scored in six games.

--RWs Gionta and Langenbrunner swapped lines in the first period Monday but were switched back in the second. Devils coach Brent Sutter made the move to shake things up after the shutout loss Sunday.

--D Johnny Oduya was a healthy scratch for the fourth straight game.

--C Patrik Elias will become the 10th Devil to play in 700 games with the club Wednesday night.
