Poland's Kamil Stoch wins his first gold, in ski jump

The final medal event from Sunday ended with Poland's Kamil Stoch taking gold in men's normal hill of ski jumping.

The 26-year-old Stoch finished with a final round of 136.0 points, traveling a distance of 103.5 meters. His total was 278.0 points, and he won comfortably over Slovenia's Peter Prevc, who took silver with 265.3 points and a final-round jump of 99.0 meters.

For Stoch, it's his first Olympic gold medal.

Norway's Anders Bardal won bronze, finishing with 264.1 points and jumping 98.5 meters in the final round. No American finished in the top 30. Peter Frenette, of the United States, finished 35th with 105.3 total points.
