PHOTOS: Ski coaches wear ape masks while watching from trees

If you're a ski coach who's going to climb a tree with a friend to watch the men's super combined downhill, well, why wouldn't you wear an ape mask while you were at it?

It appears U.S. ski coach Scotty Veenis and Canadian counterpart Rewk Patten never came up with an answer. Via Getty Images and photographer Doug Pensinger:

That's Veenis on the higher branch. A second look:

Watching the race from a tree can't be the most comfortable way to watch, but the vantage point is helpful, and clearly Veenis and Patten are willing to do whatever it takes to chimp in.
