LOOK: Team USA reveals its Olympic uniforms
Team USA revealed its Olympic uniforms on Thursday. Kindly, they could best be described as chic mixed with a little ugly Christmas sweater.
Not really sure what kind of look Ralph Lauren was going for with these US Olympic uniforms, but Minnesota Wild wing Zach Parise looks none too pleased to be sporting it.
The team will don the uniforms during the opening and closing ceremonies of next month's Games.
It’s almost like an ugly Christmas sweater vest mixed with some yoga pants. BUT, and here’s the silver lining, after the 2012 Ralph Lauren uniforms were revealed to have been made in China -- causing a predictable uproar -- this year’s versions were “proudly made in the USA,” as prominently stated in a press release.
"We've learned a lot [since 2012]," said David Lauren, the company's executive vice president of global advertisting. "This is an important issue for many Americans and one we have fully embraced, and we want to continue to lead the way and find all kinds of vendors who can produce amazing products in America."
