Manzano wins men's 1,500; Centrowitz takes second

EUGENE, Ore. -- Leo Manzano won the men's 1,500 meters at the U.S. track trails in 3 minutes, 35.75 seconds for a place on the Olympic team.

Former Oregon Duck Matthew Centrowitz was second in 3:24.84 on Sunday at Hayward Field. His fellow college teammate, Andrew Wheating, was third in 3:36.68 for the final spot on the U.S. team for the London Games.

Manzano was runner-up in the event at the trials in 2008.
