ANTERSELVA, Italy -- Norway's Ole Einar Bjoerndalen set a record with his 50th career victory in a World Cup biathlon pursuit Sunday, producing another perfect performance for his seventh win of the season.
France's Sandrine Bailly won the women's 10-kilometer pursuit ahead of Tora Berger of Norway on the closing day of a five-day meet.
Bjoerndalen recorded his fifth straight victory and jumped to the top of the overall standings with 553 points. France's Raphael Poiree, who did not finish Sunday, slipped to second with 542.
Bjoerndalen was faultless in shooting and had the fastest time of 32 minutes 16.53 seconds in the 12.5-kilometer cross country. Sergei Tchepikov of Russia was second and Halvard Hanevold of Norway was third. Tchepikov had one penalty and Hanevold two.
Bailly won in 33:6.82, edging Berger by 5.4 seconds. Simone Denkinger of Germany was third, 17.8 back.
Russia's Olga Pyleva finished ninth but held first in the overall standings with 484 points. Bailly consolidated her third place with 442 points, behind Germany's Kati Wilhelm.
The next World Cup biathlon is at the Olympic venue of Cesana San Sicario on Feb. 9-12. Bjoerndalen plans to skip the next World Cup races to prepare for the world championships.
