Sides meet for 22 hours in two days, but no ruling until Monday

ALBANY, N.Y. -- An arbitrator was expected to rule Monday on whether the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation was justified in suspending coach Tim Nardiello, who was accused of sexually harassing two members of his team.

The sides met for 22 hours over Wednesday and Thursday, a session that included lengthy testimony from witnesses for both sides.

Nardiello is seeking reinstatement as coach of the U.S. skeleton team. He was suspended by the USBSF on Dec. 31 after slider Felicia Canfield and the mother of 2002 Olympic gold medalist Tristan Gale accused the coach of a long pattern of sexual harassment.

The arbitrator's decision is separate from the U.S. Olympic Committee's investigation into the Nardiello matter. The USOC must decide by Jan. 30 if he coaches the American team at next month's Turin Olympics.
