John Danks roughed up again

White Sox starter John Danks suffered his third lossSaturday night against the Astros.

Danks (1-3) allowed home runs to Jason Castro and Chris Carter. The left-hander surrendered four runs on five hits and a walk in six innings of a 4-3 loss.

Danks has allowed 12 runs over his last four starts (24 innings). He is scheduled to make his next start Thursday at Minnesota.

White Sox alter weekend rotation

The White Sox announced their rotation plans after Wednesday's rainout against the Blue Jays.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the White Sox's rotation plans for the weekend series against the Astros work out as follows: Chris Sale will pitch Friday, John Danks follows Saturday, with Hector Santiago taking the mound Sunday and Jose Quintana to close the series Monday.

Sale was originally set to pitch Wednesday before the game was postponed.

White Sox starting pitcher John Danks surrendered just one earned run on three hits and one walk in eight innings to pick up his first win of the season Saturday against the A's. He also struck out a season-high six batters while moving to 1-2.

Danks has posted quality starts in three of his four games since returning from the disabled list. He takes a 4.13 ERA into a matchup with the Astros Friday.
