The Hawks announced Tuesday they waived guard Jarell Eddie and center Dexter Pittman. Eddie is a rookie out of Virginia Tech, and Pittman has been in the NBA since 2010-11, playing for the Heat, Grizzlies, Hawks and Rockets.
The Rocketswill waive center Dexter Pittman and sign free agent power forward Josh Powell, the Houston Chronicle reports. Powell spent the season in China and has not played in the NBA since 2011. He averaged 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in six NBA seasons.
