CARSON, Calif. -- Maykel Galindo and Ante Razov scored in the second half to give Chivas USA a 2-0 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday night.
Chivas USA (3-3-2) broke a four-game winless streak and kept FC Dallas (5-4-1) from winning its fourth consecutive game.
Galindo, who escaped from Cuba in 2005, scored in the 51st minute. Galindo stole the ball from Juan Toja, tripped over Dallas defender Alex Yi, got up and fired a 32-yard shot that took one bounce before settling inside the right post.
Razov scored the 102nd goal of his Major League Soccer career in the 90th minute. With Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala stationed at midfield, Razov took Paulo Nagamura's clearance attempt and converted into an empty net from 50 yards.
Chivas USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan made three saves for his third shutout of the season.
Dallas forward Carlos Ruiz did not play because of a one-game suspension for receiving too many yellow cards.
Before the game, Chivas USA midfielder Ramon Ramirez announced his retirement. Ramirez, who played in two World Cups and 121 games for Mexico, had not played in two years because of a torn ligament in his left knee.
