CARSON, Calif. -- Chris Klein scored in the 72nd minute to give the Los Angeles Galaxy a 2-1 victory against FC Dallas on Sunday night.
Dallas (12-10-4) played with 10 men for the final 66 minutes after Chris Gbandi received two yellow cards.
Klein took Cobi Jones' pass from the left flank and sent a 19-yard line drive into the upper-right corner of the net to give Los Angeles (5-13-6) only its second victory against a Major League Soccer team since July 4.
Dallas took a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute on Dax McCarty's first career MLS goal. McCarty secured Gbandi's pass from the left wing and converted from 13 yards in front of two Galaxy defenders.
The Galaxy tied the score on Landon Donovan's penalty kick in the 25th minute. Gbandi received his second yellow card by pulling Klein's jersey in the penalty area in the previous minute to force the penalty kick.
Jones played the first 86 minutes and became the fourth player in MLS history to appear in 300 regular-season games.
