TORONTO -- All-Star Kenny Cooper scored on a penalty kick in the 81st minute after Toronto FC's Amado Guevara received a red card, propelling FC Dallas to a 2-0 win Sunday.
Cooper then scored in injury time to secure Toronto's first loss at home in 10 games this season (6-8-4). Toronto is winless in its past six MLS games and 11 games overall.
Guevara was handed the red by referee Baldomero Toledo after appearing to strike Pablo Ricchetti in the face in the penalty area.
Cooper made no mistake with the penalty, going left to beat Toronto goalie Greg Sutton for his career-high 12th goal of the year.
Later, Toronto defender Marco Velez was ejected for receiving his second yellow of the game, leaving Toronto two men short. What's more, Toronto athletic trainer Carmelo Lobue was sent to the dressing room after exchanging harsh words with the officials.
Cooper, who played in the MLS All-Star game last month at BMO Field, added another goal from 30 yards out in injury time.
Velez and Guevara will be forced to miss Toronto's next game on Saturday in Colorado against the Rapids.
Newly acquired Toronto forward Chad Barrett, the leading scorer for Chicago this season, missed an opportunity by shooting 10 yards wide in the 67th minute and then left the game with what appeared to be a right-leg injury.
Both teams were missing players to the U.S. Olympic team. Dallas midfielder Dax McCarthy and Toronto midfielder Maurice Edu and defender Marvell Wynne are with the Americans in Beijing. In addition, Toronto didn't have forward Danny Dichio (concussion) and defender Todd Dunivant (ankle).
Dallas lost midfielder Marcelo Saragosa in the seventh minute when he suffered a right calf injury. He was replaced by Michael Dello-Russo.
