Barcelona coach Luis Enrique had the highest praise for his star Lionel Messi after the Argentine scored two goals in Sunday's El Clasico win over Real Madrid, including the winner in the 92nd minute.

According to Marca, Enrique called him the best there ever was.

"Messi even makes a difference when he's at home having dinner," Enrique said.

"He is the best player in the history of the game, and I have seen a lot of soccer and a lot of videos. He makes the difference and it's a huge pleasure for all Cules to have him identify as one of us."

You can watch his post-match press conference comments (in Spanish) here:

Well, there you go. Messi has proved over his career that he is in the running to be considered the best ever, and he says it on the day the player reaches 500 career club goals.

It's subjective, of course. But Enrique isn't afraid to place him on that thrown now, with several years remaining in his playing career.
