Lionel Messi reportedly lost his cool with some of the Manchester City players
Messi reportedly chased some City players down the tunnel on Tuesday
Lionel Messi reportedly stood outside of Manchester City's locker room on Tuesday after Barcelona's 3-1 loss in the Champions League, demanding that a taunting player come outside, per Cadena Ser.
The report said a group of City players taunted Messi during the game, and Argentine reportedly called a City player an imbecile. Messi lost his cool and also reportedly tried to storm into the opponent's dressing room. Though it's uncertain who exactly Messi was talking to, Globo Esporte reports it was dynamic midfielder Fernandinho.
Messi said "Imbecile, come here and show your face. Don't hide."
Manchester City star Sergio Aguero, Messi's fellow countryman and close friend, played the situation down.
"From what I know, nothing serious happened," Aguero said per Sport. "I heard Leo say something but then he told me that nothing had happened."
We'll see if there is some real beef between the two next week when Argentina and Brazil play in World Cup Qualifying.
