With the transfer window open and buzzing, we take a look at some of the transfer rumors and news around the world of soccer, from Major League Soccer to Europe.

Chelsea closing in on Monaco star

The reigning Premier League champs are on the verge of securing a $44 million deal for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to ESPNFC.  With Nemanja Matic looking to be on his way to Manchester United, Chelsea looks set to reload its midfield with the talented 22-year-old, who debuted for France in March.

Giroud leaving Arsenal?

According to The Telegraph, West Ham is aiming to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud for over $20 million. The France international could see a lack of minutes as the Emirates if Alexandre Lacazette of Lyon joins the Gunners and may be in search of guaranteed first-team soccer. A move to the Hammers makes sense, with the club lacking a true No. 9 of quality to lead the attack.

Lyon are also interested in the striker, so we could possibly see a swap teal involving Lacazette, but its not likely.

The 30-year-old joined Arsenal  in 2012 as a little-known forward but has gone on to score 98 goals in 226 matches.
