Welcome to Eye on Soccer's Buy or Sell. In no other sport do rumors run as wild as in soccer. As we sit in the transfer window, the rumor mill will pick up steam as each day passes. For those new to this feature, we'll try to dissect the latest rumor from the world of soccer. This is your guide to help you sort through that mess.

The rumor:

Chelsea is preparing a $101 million move for Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, according to Sport, citing 'information in England.' Marca says Real Madrid is ready to part ways with the Colombian.

Background:

Ever since his move from Monaco to Real Madrid after his fine showing at the 2014 World Cup, Rodriguez has never really settled in at the club, failing to regularly earn a spot in the starting XI. He didn't even play in the Champions League final earlier this year when the club beat Atletico Madrid on penalty kicks. James did, however, play in Real Madrid's UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla last week.

That said, the lack of playing time has seen Rodriguez connected with plenty of English clubs as well as PSG and some teams in Italy. If a move were to happen, now makes more sense than ever.

Buy or sell:

I'll buy it, but not at that price. There is no question that a move makes sense for James, and Chelsea seems like a good fit. He is quick with the ball and could adapt well to the game there. But for that amount? It would be great business for Real Madrid if they can sell him for $10 million more than they spent for him, but something in the $60-70 million range seems fair. With Willian and Eden Hazard on the wings, an experienced attacking midfielder spot for James could really boost the Blues this campaign.
