Razov's goal pushes Chivas USA past Santos Laguna in SuperLiga

CARSON, Calif. -- Ante Razov scored in the 73rd minute and Chivas USA beat Santos Laguna 1-0 in a SuperLiga match Wednesday.

The winner was a header past goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez. As the match moved into its final stages, Sacha Kljestan picked up an errant pass from a Santos defender and sent a cross to the front of the goal and Razov knocked the ball into the back of the net.

Razov, who came on as a sub, has scored in five consecutive games, including SuperLiga and regular-season MLS matches. The goal also gave Razov five in international club competitions. Razov scored three CONCACAF Champions Cup goals with the Chicago Fire.

Santos forward Christian Benitez had his team's best scoring opportunity. In the 12th minute, Benitez raced past the Chivas defense and evaded goalkeeper Dan Kennedy. However, with an empty net before him Benitez sent a shot off the crossbar.
