Noonan back in MLS, traded to Crew

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Former New England Revolution forward Pat Noonan was traded to the Columbus Crew on Wednesday after re-signing with Major League Soccer.

In exchange for trading Noonan's rights, the Revolution received money for acquiring future players and the Crew's first-round selection in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft.

The 28-year-old Noonan has been playing for Aalesund in the Norwegian Premier League after a transfer from the MLS in January. He appeared in 119 games over five seasons for New England, scoring 37 goals with 29 assists.
