Stoke signs midfielder Dramani on 6-month loan

STOKE, England (AP) -Stoke has signed Ghana midfielder Haminu Dramani on a six-month loan deal from Lokomotiv Moscow.

The deal is subject to Dramani receiving a work permit, and Stoke manager Tony Pulis admitted taking a risk by signing the 22-year-old without having seen him play. Pulis said he was relying on the judgment of his assistant David Kemp when making the deal.

"Kempy has watched him out in Russia this summer and likes what he sees," Pulis said. "His judgment of a player is usually spot on so I have no problem trusting his opinion. He tells me he's quick and can play on either wing."

Dramani also had a spell with Red Star Belgrade and joined Lokomotiv in 2007. He played for Ghana at the 2006 World Cup, scoring in a 2-2 draw against the United States.
