LONDON (AP) -England's Football Association will reportedly conduct an investigation into possible match-fixing after receiving information about irregular betting patterns during a recent League Championship match.
The Sunday Telegraph newspaper has handed the FA a document detailing unusual betting in Asia, which occurred at about halftime during an unspecified match in English football's second tier.
"We will consider any evidence which is brought to our attention," the FA said. "We are committed to thoroughly investigate any allegations of this nature."
The document was also sent to the Gambling Commission, the regulatory body for gambling in Great Britain.
Neither organization has jurisdiction over the Asian market, but both have a mandate to uphold the game's integrity.
