SANDY, Utah -- Real Salt Lake midfielder Javier Morales was suspended for one game by Major League Soccer on Tuesday for elbowing an opponent last weekend.
Morales will sit out Salt Lake's home game against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday.
MLS reviewed Salt Lake's 2-0 loss to Colorado on Saturday, when Morales elbowed Pablo Mastroeni in the face in the 80th minute. Morales was not called for a foul on the play.
Salt Lake defender Jamison Olave will also not play as he serves an automatic one-game suspension for being red-carded on Saturday.
