AMSTERDAM (AP) -Swedish striker Ola Toivonen scored four goals Sunday to help PSV Eindhoven rout nine-man ADO The Hague 5-1.
PSV leapfrogged FC Twente atop the standings with the win, but Twente can regain top spot with a win over Ajax later Sunday.
Toivonen opened the scoring in the 10th minute from a Danko Lazovic pass before doubling PSV's advantage with another effort four minutes later. Lazovic was the provider again for Toivonen's third and Otman Bakkal's goal in the 51st before the Swede netted his fourth in the 73rd as PSV maintained its unbeaten start to the season.
Karim Soltani scored a consolation for ADO in the 71st.
The match was temporarily halted as ADO supporters protested referee Roelof Luinge's decision to dismiss Lex Immers after fouling Lazovic in the 57th. Roelof had already sent off Ricky van den Bergh for a foul on Ibrahim Afellay in the 39th.
Also Sunday, Feyenoord drew 1-1 against defending champion AZ Alkmaar. Sekou Cisse put Feyenoord ahead after five minutes, collecting Leroy Fer's through-ball before firing a low shot past AZ goalkeeper Sergio Romero from 12 yards. Brett Holman got the equalizer for AZ 10 minutes into the second half.
Earlier Sunday, Anthony Lurling set up two goals for Kurt Elshot and Kees Kwakman to inspire NAC Breda to a 4-0 win over Willem II.
Ghana forward Matthew Amoah and Brazil winger Leonardo also added a goal each for NAC.
Michal Papadopulos scored twice and Viktor Elm added another in SC Heerenveen's 3-0 win at FC Utrecht. Tim Cornelisse and Jacob Mulenga scored two late goals for Utrecht.
FC Groningen secured only its third victory of the season by beating visiting Heracles Almelo 4-1 on Friday. On Saturday it was: Vitesse Arnhem 2, VVV-Venlo 0; Sparta Rotterdam 1, Roda JC 2 and NEC Nijmegen 0, RKC Waalwijk 1.
