CARSON, Calif. -- John Wolyniec scored twice in a nine-minute span to lead the Columbus Crew past Chivas USA 3-0 Saturday night.
Cornell Glen scored midway through the first half and assisted on one of Wolyniec's goals, helping the Crew improve to 9-12-3. Columbus is four points behind the fifth-place MetroStars with eight game remaining.
The loss eliminated Chivas USA (3-18-5) from playoff contention.
