2014 FIFA World Cup: Jozy Altidore exits with strained hamstring
United States forward Jozy Altidore left Monday's match with a strained hamstring.
United States Men's National Team forward Jozy Altidore left Monday's match with Ghana midway through the first half with a strained hamstring.
With the U.S. leading 1-0, Altidore was running down a long ball from Michael Bradley in the game's 21st minute when he pulled up clutching the back of his left thigh. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and replaced by Aron Johannsson.
It's unclear as of Monday evening just how injured Altidore is and how long he could potentially be out.
And, before you ask, no, Landon Donovan cannot be called in as a replacement.
