This is a matchup with some interesting backstories. In the summer of 1998, during a routine stadium tour, a large nest containing three eggs was discovered high atop M&T Bank Stadium.
Since the Ravens were without a mascot, it was determined that whatever hatched from the eggs should become the official team mascots. Three ravens appeared and were named Edgar, Allan and Poe.
To make it an even competition, we are focusing on just one of the mascots for teams with multiple ones. In this case, Poe is the mascot of choice.
Check out more information about him. Poe is short, stout and represents the linemen of the game. He routinely joins tailgate parties in his never-ending search for the perfect cheeseburger.
Boltman was hired by the Chargers to be their mascot in 1995, but later broke ties with the team and decided to be on his own. Read more about him here. His new image is a "supercharged" lightning bolt super hero character.
