Second-seeded Staley Da Bear did exactly what he should have done to a foam cheese wedge. The foam-cheese-in-a-box was mulled into little foam cheese curds, according to users' votes. For Packer fans, it was an un-BEAR-able turn of events.
The Chicago Bears' mascot advances to the second round and will face off against the Minnesota Vikings' mascot, Viktor.
Viktor, a No. 7 seed, easily handled the New Orleans Saints' Gumbo the Dog. Many Vikings fans noted in our Message Board that Ragnar is the true Vikings mascot, but they can't be disappointed with the outcome in round one.
This will make for an entertaining battle in round two. It seems on paper that Viktor could savagely tear apart Staley Da Bear. But Chicago fans rallied around Staley in the opening round and will undoubtedly come out in large numbers to support their mascot.
Let this NFC North battle begin!
