SPiN's Hottie Hall of Fame began with a simple question. Alyssa Milano or Elisabeth Shue?
A year later, and with over 344,000 votes cast, SPiN's HHOF is a worldwide phenomenon that's spreading faster than a STD in Cancun during Spring Break.

To honor the one-year anniversary of the most successful investment CBS has made in decades, we had to find a matchup that had the punch of our inaugural battle. When we first decided on Milano and Shue, it seemed almost everyone agreed these two would beat anyone they faced.
Had Shue gone against anyone besides Milano, there's no doubt she would have won. So for this month's matchup to be as powerful, we had to find two women who simply couldn't lose unless pitted against one another.
To help kick off the NFL season it a great way, and since 90 percent of you have already stopped reading the intro to stare at the pictures of the ladies below, let's get to the tale of the tape on SPiN's Hottie Hall of Fame matchup for September 2009 -- the one year anniversary!

Pamela Anderson: Unless you've just awakened from a 20-year coma or recently rebelled from your Amish family, Pam hardly needs an introduction. Anderson was first noticed at a game in the same league that gave us Jeff Garcia, so we can forgive the Canadian Football League for that after all.
Sporting a Labatt's T-shirt, the 21-year old Anderson caused a stir throughout the crowd when she was shown on the stadium screen -- such a stir, in fact, that team officials rushed Anderson down to the field to receive a proper ovation from the crowd. Labatt's immediately offered Anderson a modeling contract she gladly accepted.
Later that year, Anderson decided to model for Playboy magazine, becoming the 1989 October cover girl. She then became a centerfold in 1990 as February's Playmate of the Month.
After conquering Canada and Playboy, Anderson set her sights on Los Angeles and made a few minor adjustments to help stand out. Anderson bleached her hair and might have had some other work done before becoming the "Tool Time Girl" on Home Improvement.
Anderson's biggest leap in fame came thanks to a red bikini and a little miracle known widely as "The Hoff." Videos of Pam running through the sand in slow motion were the most widely viewed videos of her before the Internet was invented.
Still a worldwide phenomenon, Anderson was often referred to as the sexiest woman of all-time. A vegetarian, huge advocate for animal rights and active member of PETA, Anderson still found time to date Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

Heidi Klum: Victoria's Secret catalogs and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue have a few things in common. For so, so many reasons, Heidi Klum has been one of those for over a decade.
Klum first graced the SI cover in 1998, the same year every man in the world learned how to pronounce Klum. Her perfect body earned her plenty of magazine covers, but her bubbly personality gained the attention of television producers as well.
She has been a spokesmodel for McDonald's, Braun, Liz Claiborne, Jordache and Volkswagen. Her TV experience includes appearances in Spin City, How I Met Your Mother and Sex and the City.
In December 2004, Project Runway aired with Klum playing the role of Simon Cowell. Klum received an Emmy nomination for each of the show's first four seasons.
Klum's international success has earned her plenty of money -- Forbes estimated her 2007-2009 income at $38 million. She's also happily married to musician Seal, and they have two boys together.
Like Anderson in 2004, Klum became a naturalized American citizen in 2008. Which means that during all the complaining about a recession and foreclosures, America actually gained a Heidi Klum. If only we could export a Heidi Montag in return, America would be back on its way to financial stability.
Don't forget to check out the HHOF ballot to vote for each and every matchup!
