| Draper called it a career at the end of the year. He, along with partner Samantha Stosur, won the Australian Open mixed doubles title. He qualified to play on Australia's professional golf tour and had to juggle sports over the past four days of the Australian Open, playing in his first pro golf event on Friday morning and winning his mixed doubles semifinal that Friday afternoon. He missed the cut in the Victoria Open with rounds of 79 and 74. He said he would be switching between golf and tennis this year, but hoped eventually to concentrate on golf. (updated 12/7/2005) |
