| Norman, who was ranked as high as world No. 2 in 2000, announced his retirement from tennis on October 28 after a long battle with hip and knee injuries. During a 12-year pro career that began in 1992 when he qualified for the Stockholm Open at the age of 16, he won 12 singles titles and finished his career with a 244-177 match record and $4,537,247 in prize money.
