Player Info
Federer has been crowned ATP World Tour Champion for the fifth time, becoming just the second player in the history of the Rankings to regain the year-end No. 1 spot (Ivan Lendl). With five year-end No. 1 finishes, he ties Jimmy Connors’ mark. Pete Sampras tops the list of all-time ATP World Tour Champions with six straight titles, from 1993-98.

He claimed his 61st career title in Cincinnati, Ohio. That was his 16th Masters 1000 title.

He captured his record-breaking 15th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, his 6th title here. He also won in Roland-Garros, his first title in Paris, becoming the 6th man to win the career Grand Slam after Roy Emerson, Fred Perry, Donald Budge, Rod Laver and Andre Agassi.

His first title of the year came in Madrid, Spain, another Masters 1000.

He qualified for his 22nd straight grand slam semifinal at the U.S. Open. The second best streak is 10, by Ivan Lendl, between the U.S. Open 1985 and the Australian Open 1988.
