BAD GASTEIN, Austria (AP) -Fourth-seeded Pauline Parmentier of France won the Gastein Ladies by beating Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-4 in Sunday's final.
It was Parmentier's second WTA Tour title after winning in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, last year.
Hradecka, a 237th-ranked qualifier, had previously never passed the second round of a WTA Tour event.
The 53rd-ranked Parmentier, who eliminated top-seeded Agnes Szavay in the semifinals, fell 4-1 behind in the opening set of the final but won the next eight games to lead 6-4, 3-0.
Hradecka managed to break back once and saved a match point while serving at 3-5, but Parmentier converted her third match point with an ace.
Parmentier is the second winner of the Gastein Ladies - defending champion Francesca Schiavone skipped the event and played in Stanford, California.
