PORTOROZ, Slovenia -- Sara Errani of Italy beat Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 6-4, 6-4 in the Slovenia Open semifinals to reach her second straight final on Saturday.
Errani's ninth straight win on the WTA Tour followed her first career title this month at Palermo, where she also knocked off the favorite. The eighth-seeded Errani eliminated top-seeded Maria Kirilenko in the quarterfinals this week.
Half of the 20 games between Errani and third-seeded Wozniacki were lost by the server, with Errani winning six of them.
She beat Medina Garrigues in their only previous match at 2007 Bali.
Medina Garrigues took 2 hours, 13 minutes to put away Goerges and reach her third final of the year.
The Spaniard had an eventful May when she was runner-up at Fez, Morocco then won her eighth career title and third at Strasbourg, France. She also won the French Open doubles for her first Grand Slam title with Virginia Ruano Pascual.
The pair won the Slovenia doubles final on Saturday.
Medina Garrigues' record in WTA singles finals was 8-4.
