Cirstea outlasts Lisicki, makes Tashkent first WTA title

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan -- Sorana Cirstea of Romania won her first WTA Tour title Sunday, rallying to beat Sabine Lisicki of Germany 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7) in the Tashkent Open final.

Cirstea, seeded third and ranked 46th, hadn't dropped a set all week until losing the first to the fourth-seeded Lisicki.

Cirstea's previous best performance had been as runner-up in Budapest last year.

Lisicki, who reached her first WTA quarterfinal at Cincinnati in August, defeated top-seeded Peng Shuai of China to advance to her first final.
