Wozniacki breezes into quarters

BASTAD, Sweden (AP) -Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki breezed past Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-2 Wednesday to reach the Swedish Open quarterfinals.

The ninth-ranked Dane, who has not dropped a set in the clay-court tournament, will face Maria Kirilenko next. Kirilenko beat sixth-seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-2, 6-3 in an all-Russian contest.

Gisela Dulko of Argentina saved four match points before outlasting fifth-seeded Sorana Cirstea of Romania 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (5).

Also advancing to the last eight were No. 3 seed Flavia Pennetta of Italy, No. 7 Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain, Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain.

The Swedish Open moved back to Bastad, where the first women's tournament was held in 1948, after five years on hard courts at Olympic Stadium in Stockholm.
