EASTBOURNE, England -- Kim Clijsters defeated Russian qualifier Vera Douchevina 7-5, 6-0 at Eastbourne on Saturday for her third title of the year.
The seventh-seeded Belgian added to her back-to-back wins at Indian Wells and Miami with the victory in this grass-court warmup for Wimbledon, which begins Monday. It was Clijsters' 24th career title.
Douchevina, the 2002 Wimbledon junior champion, beat top-seeded Amelie Mauresmo on the way to her first WTA Tour final.
Douchevina, 18, in her eighth match of the week, wilted and lost the second set in just 17 minutes.
