After getting cut by the Eagles, corner Nnamdi Asomugha is struggling to choose his new team. A new report says he's torn between the 49ers, where he'd join an elite defense, and the Saints, where he'd be reunited with defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said the the team is waiting for Asomugha, who also visited the 49ers, to decide where he wants to play. Loomis said he believes Asomugha, a colossal bust with the Eagles, still can be an elite corner at age 32.
The New Orleans Saints agreed to terms on a five-year deal with former Steelers cornerback Keenan Lewis on Thursday. Lewis, a New Orleans native, could help a secondary that ranked next to last in the league in defending the pass in 2012. Lewis led all cornerbacks in pass defenses last season.
