The Packers have already locked up a playoff berth, but that doesn't mean they won't be motivated against the Vikings on Sunday. They can improve their seed, and then there's this: not being on the wrong end of an Adrian Peterson record.
For the past couple of weeks, coach Mike McCarthy has insisted that veteran DB Charles Woodson, who's missed two months with a broken collarbone, would play as soon as he's ready. The Packers were not going to intentionally rest Woodson to give him extra time to fully heal for the playoffs, McCarthy said.
The Packers' battered offensive line has been decimated by injuries in recent weeks. On Thursday, it took another shot. Backup G Greg Van Roten hurt his back in practice, joining LG T.J. Lang (concussion, illness) and C Jeff Saturday (neck/shoulder) on the injury list.
The injuries continue for the Packers, and two of the biggest concerns are LG T.J. Lang and RB Alex Green, who both have concussions. QB Aaron Rodgers, who hurt his ankle against the Bears, was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
