The Houston Texans have agreed to terms with former Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein, according to reports. Klein will appear at quarterback, not running back or strong safety as speculated during the pre-draft process. It is unlikely the Texans will enter training camp with five quarterbacks on the roster. Houston entered the draft with four quarterbacks on its depth chart.
Even though most coaches will say that every position on the field is up for grabs, that's often not the case. But this fall, as usual, there are a lot of wide-open QB battles. Here are the 10 most important to keep an eye on this year.
Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein was a Heisman finalist and gave the Wildcats a real chance during the season to play for a national title. But he's not thought of even one of the best quarterbacks in the 2013 draft class.
Not every recruit pans out and some who fly under the radar turn out to be stars. Just take a look last year at Johnny Manziel, the Heisman Trophy winner. Not much was expected of Manziel, but he proved many people wrong. On the flip side, the 'Southpaw Jesus' never lived up to the hype.
