The Packers have expressed interest in 49ers defensive end Ricky Jean-Francois, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Jean-Francois could help shore up the Packers' leaky run defense.
For the past couple of weeks, coach Mike McCarthy has insisted that veteran DB Charles Woodson, who's missed two months with a broken collarbone, would play as soon as he's ready. The Packers were not going to intentionally rest Woodson to give him extra time to fully heal for the playoffs, McCarthy said.
