Former UConn standout Sio Moore could prove to be the big play specialist that Oakland has been searching for at linebacker. The third-round pick is one of several standouts in what might be the draft class that helps rebuild the Raiders' mystique.
Several players have recently revealed that they were asked about their sexual orientation at the NFL Combine, however, Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o wasn't one of them. Te'o said on Friday that no team asked him about it at the combine.
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, one of the league's most vocal supporters on gay rights, said Wednesday that he believes the NFL will have its first openly gay player "really soon. In the next year or the following year."
The NFL said Wednesday it will look into the line of questioning Colorado tight end Nick Kasa said he was subjected to at the combine. Kasa said he was asked, "Do you have a girlfriend? Are you married? Do you like girls?" However, Kasa later said the questions were "more of just kidding around."
