Buffalo named Jeff Tuel as its starting QB for the opener against the Patriots, should EJ Manuel be unable to play. Tuel's inefficient play Saturday night against the Redskins provides little reason to be optimistic.
The attention will be heaped upon EJ Manuel and the rest of the "skill position" talents the Bills added via the draft but it could be a playmaker on the other side of the ball who makes the greatest immediate impact.
Former Washington State quarterback Jeff Tuel is pulling out all the stops to impress scouts. Not only will he be throwing to receivers at the Cougars' Pro Day March 7 in Pullman, he'll participate in Eastern Washington's timing day on March 6, as well. Among the receivers he'll be throwing to at the EWU campus is former WSU star Marquess Wilson, who dazzled in drills at the combine.
