Orchard culminated an impressive week of practice with big plays against the run and pass, alike, proving in the North's final 'important' day of practice that he is much more than just a pass-rusher. Orchard wasn't the only player to impress, however.
The 90th edition of the East-West Shrine Game did not bring offensive fireworks but it could help raise the stock of several prospects in the eyes of NFL scouts. Among those who stood out were defensive ends Za'Darius Smith from Kentucky and Miami's Anthony Chickillo and Southern Cal defensive back Josh Shaw.
His name may not be as recognizable as some of the other superstars on the field in UCLA's 38-20 thrashing of Southern Cal, but scouts won't soon forget the Bruins' breakout redshirt senior or his two sacks against the Trojans.
