They are polar opposites -- former Trojan head coach Kevin O'Neill and USC's interim head coach Bob Cantu. The players weren't responding to KO's in-your-face style, but the Trojans are coming off their Super Bowl, a win against rival UCLA in Pauley Pavilion.
Bob Cantu has been on the staff at USC for a dozen years. He's seen five head coaches come and go -- and now he has a chance to run the program. Cantu was given the interim tag for the rest of the season after athletic director Pat Haden fired Kevin O'Neill.
Arizona and UCLA were supposed to both be back and carry the Pac-12 back to, at the very least, respectability. The Wildcats have done their part thus far while Ben Howland's Bruins took a major step this past weekend.
