Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Freddie Mitchell faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a count of conspiracy to file a false claim in Florida. The charge stems from Mitchell's involvement in a tax-fraud scheme involving another athlete. Mitchell was a member of the Eagles' NFC Championship team in 2004.
Jersey City police want to talk to Kenny Britt again about a stabbing, but they say he's ignored their request. Britt took his friend to the hospital after the Jan. 13 stabbing, and another friend has been arrested in connection with the incident.
